NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Lawana Jeanette Starr, 71, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Ferriday. Under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Starr was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Mobile, Ala., the daughter of James Millis Broome and Nettie Lee Broome.

Mrs. Starr was preceded in death by her father; and daughter Kimberly Matheny.

Survivors include her mother; two sons, James Starr, of Metairie, and Billie Starr, of Hawaii; one brother, David Broome, of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
