BUDE — Services for Robert S. Scott Sr., 75, of Roxie, who died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, will be at noon Friday at Bude Church of God with the Rev. Daniel Smith, the Rev. Lee Miley and the Rev. Lee Colenburg officiating.

Burial will follow in Greendale United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Scott was born March 14, 1938, in Jefferson County, the son of William Emmett and Neta Coleman Scott.

He was a member of the Bude Church of God.

He was retired from Arco Oil and Gas Company where he worked for many years as a lead mechanic. He was a lifelong farmer and loved mechanic work.

He served in the MS National Guard. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, William Emmett Scott Jr., Wayne Lamar Scott, and Virgil Everett Scott.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mae Watson Scott; two daughters, Debra Scott Applewhite and husband, Art, of Wiggins, and Betty Sue Scott Ezell and husband, Rickey, of Roxie; one son, Robert S. Scott Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Roxie; one sister, Leta Mae Scott Barlow, of California; six grandchildren, Christy Anderson and husband, Jordan, Eric Rollins and wife, Shere, Amy Smith and husband, Chris, Kelsey Ezell, Christopher Scott and Matthew Scott; great-grandchildren, Jackson Anderson, Tristin Rollins, Fisher Rollins and Palyn Mae Smith; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Scott, Christopher Scott, Eric Rollins, Chris Smith, Justin Ezell, Jordan Anderson, William Harrigill, Justin Case and Darren Colenburg.
