CROSBY — Memorial services for Quincy Parker Sr., 88, of Longview, Texas, who died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Longview Regional Hospital, will be at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church in Houston next week.

Mr. Parker was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Crosby, the son of Barney Parker Sr. and Leone Trevillion Parker.

Parker was the last of that Crosby family.

Parker retired from Sunoco in 1985. He lived and worked all over the country as part of Sun seismograph drilling crew.

Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his dear wife, Anita Parker; his parents; four brothers, Wensel Parker, Dean Parker, Barney Parker and Conley Parker; two sisters, Maurice Smith and Louise Conroy.

Survivors include one son, Quincy Parker Jr. and wife, Pam, of Kemah, Texas; one daughter, Rebecca Jean Parker of Longview, Teaxas; one grandson, Quincy Parker III and wife, Melodie, of League City; one grandson, Drew Parker of San Marcos; great-grandchildren, Quincy IV and Merritt of League City; sister in law, Ruby Parker of Moss Bluff, La.; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Quincy dearly.
