LORMAN — Area sheriffs will gather at Alcorn State University Saturday for an open conversation with the public about gun violence in the community.

The members of Alcorn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will sponsor a “Focus on Gun/Gang Violence” forum at 9 a.m. Saturday in the James L. Bolden Campus Union Ballroom on the ASU campus in Lorman.

The forum is free, open to the public and will focus on how communities can reclaim their neighborhoods.

Panelists include Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield, Claiborne County Sheriff Marvin Lucas, Jefferson County Sheriff Peter Walker and Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
