Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Atkinson of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter Alyx Atkinson to Troy Eliser, son of Delain T. Robinson of Lake St. John and Leo Eliser Jr. of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal School in Natchez and is a graduate of Alcorn State University in Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of Jack Byrd and the late Patty Byrd of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Atkinson of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School in Natchez and is a graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville.

He is the grandson of the late Bobbie Jean and John H. Thompson of Natchez and the late Leo Eliser Sr. and Pearl Eliser of New Orleans.

The wedding will be 6 p.m. March 29, 2014, at Kingston United Methodist Church.

A reception will follow at Kingston Community Center.
