NATCHEZ — Services for Aline Bacon, 88, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Sunset View Memorial Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Ms. Bacon was born Feb. 10, 1925, the daughter of Billy and Viola Beverly.
She was a member of Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church and a seamstress.
Ms. Bacon was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Willie Mae Day and Rosa Lowe.
Survivors include one brother, Freddie Beverly and wife, Minnie, of Anadarko, Okla.; three nephews, Frank Day and wife, Delores, and Hollis Day Jr. and wife, Bernadette, all of Detroit, and Mandel Beverly of Los Angeles; four great nephews, James Day of Detroit, Carmichael Hollis Day III, Willie Lee Day Jr. and Tyrone Day, all of Natchez; one great niece, Natasha Day of Detroit; a special cousin, John Edwards; a special friend, Florence Ragland of Natchez; and a number of relatives and friends.
