NATCHEZ — Services for Marceline Hawkins, 93, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kramer officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hawkins was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Gloster, the daughter of Fred Betz and Clara Byrd Betz.

She was a member of the Jefferson Street United Methodist Church, where she was very active until a couple of years ago.

Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred J. Hawkins Sr.; and four sisters, Ruby Betz Walsh, Evelyn Betz Ros, Colice Betz Bankston and Lucille Betz Harrington.

Survivors include one son, Fred J. Hawkins Jr. and wife, Christine, of London; one daughter, Aletha Faye Drewry and husband, Clyde, of Columbus; four grandchildren, Marca Leigh Glenn, Lonnie Clyde Drewry Jr., Fred J. Hawkins III and Dalene Ashley Larsen; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
