FAYETTE — Services for Anderson Tenner Sr., 96, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at his residence, will be at noon Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness with the Rev. Willie Dunn Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Tenner Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Tenner was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Jefferson County, the son of Charlie and Martha Reed Tenner.
Mr. Tenner was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara Tenner; his parents; three children, James Tenner, Anderson Tenner Jr. and Alma Scott; two grandchildren, Kelvin Patterson and Autumn Tenner McMillian; one great-great-grandson, Machi Earl Harris; four brothers, Grover Tenner, James Tenner, Clemmie Tenner and O.T. Tenner; two sisters, Florence Tenner Watson and Arzelia Ware.
Survivors include seven children, Charlie Tenner, Simon Tenner and wife, Sandra, both of California, Ruby Whitmore and husband Timothy, and Dorothy Harris, all of Natchez, Rosie Paqtterson, Bertha Jackson and husband, Herman, and Eva Davis and husband, Loyd, all of Hattiesburg; 35 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Louise Tenner; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
