NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Caroline L. Tomkins, 67, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 ,at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 2 p.m. today at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Miss Tomkins was born July 4, 1946, in Natchez, the daughter of Walter Tomkins and Letha Elizabeth Tomkins. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a long-time carrier for The Natchez Democrat. She was preceded in death by her mother; one sister, May Folds and one nephew, Joseph Montgomery Sr.

Survivors include one brother, David T. Tomkins and wife, Carey, of Natchez; one niece, Elizabeth Bee and husband, Ronnie, of Lafayette; one brother-in-law, Cecil Folds of Natchez; two great-nephews, Joseph Montgomery Jr. and Jonathan Montgomery, both of Natchez; and a special friend, Bob Wallace, of Natchez.
