NATCHEZ — Services for Clarence Eugene Brown Jr., 85, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at his residence, will be at noon Tuesday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2 with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Brown was born June 6, 1928, in Grenada, the son of Clarence Brown Sr. and Rosie Sykes Brown.

He was a baptist and member of Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2. He retired from Melrose-Natchez National Historical Park.

Mr. Brown was preceded by his parents; and wife, Prettie M. Washington Brown.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Brown and wife, Tunisia, of North Carolina, and Clarence Brown III and wife, Brenda, of Natchez; two daughters, Melissa Williams and husband, James, of Natchez, and Christine Golden and husband, Calvin, of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Edward Brown of Florida, Ernest Brown of North Carolina and Willie Earl Brown of Ohio; two sisters, Alma Young and Darlene Jamerson, both of Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brother-in-laws; four sisters-in-laws; and a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
