NATCHEZ — Services for Sarah Davis, 84, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Natchez, with L.J. Bell officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Davis was born April 7, 1929, in Natchez, the daughter of Eugene and Lizzie Yancy Davis.
Ms. Davis is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patricia Davis; three brothers, Nathaniel Davis Sr., Joe Davis and Willie Davis; two sisters, Carrie Trevillion and Elizabeth Davis; one grandson; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include six sons, Jack Davis, of Natchez, John Davis and wife, Linda, of Cushing, Texas, Charles Davis and wife, Alma, Paul Davis and wife, Felecia, Donald Davis, and Roosevelt Davis and wife, Marita, all of Houston; five daughters, Susan Marvel, Melvia Anderson and husband, James, Marjorie Prater and husband, Gene, and Mary Elizabeth Davis, all of Natchez, and Rosemary Davis, of Houston; three sisters, Coreen Davis, of Atlanta, Marie Davis and Deloris Davis, both of St. Louis; 52 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and her spiritual family of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
