NATCHEZ — Services for Edward L. “Pedro” Reeves, 53, of Natchez, who died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Del Loy and Andy Blair officiating.
Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Reeves was born Dec. 12, 1960, in Jonesville, the son of Clarence “Pete” Reeves and Carrice Rawls Reeves.
He was an avid bass fisherman and loved to cook for family and friends.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, JoAnn Chafton; and two nieces, Sissy and Cam McIntyre.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Reeves; two daughters, Rachel Elizabeth Reeves of Huntsville, Ala., and Kimberly Brasseal Labas and husband, Andrew, of Corinth; three grandchildren, John Burton Labas II, Thomas Henry Atholl Labas and Mary Margaret Labas; three sisters, Kathy Holder of Texas, Louise Crooks of Crowville and Diane Griffing of Winnsboro La.; one close nephew, Jarred Dobson; three close nieces, Billie Flowers, Johnnie Crooks and Brandi LaCroix; and a number of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Craig Sewell, Jarred Dobson, J. R. Griffing, Sam Hudson, Lonnie Bielefeld, Ralph Tedder, Louise Crooks and Diane Griffing.
Memorials may be made to Crosspoint Church in Natchez, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
