FERRIDAY — Services for Joseph Fletcher, 89, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. today at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Jonesville under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Mr. Flethcher was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Frogmore, the son of Eddie Fletcher and Virginia Johnson Fletcher.

He was a farmer.

Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Willie Cummings Fletcher; three brothers, Frank, Fleming and David; four sisters, Frozina, Virginia, Ruth and Ohphia.

Survivors include six sons, Joseph Fletcher of Orange County, Calif., Oscar Fletcher of Corona, Calif., Ronnie Fletcher of Milwaukee, Wis., Louis Fletcher of Natchez, Danny Fletcher of Long Beach, Calif. and Marlon Fletcher of Rockford, Ill.; five daughters, Mary D. Campbell of Rockford, Gloria Lloyd of Ferriday, Janice Fletcher of Vidalia, Doris Clay and husband, Russell, of Wildsville and Kathy Victorian and husband, Michael, of Baton Rouge; one brother, Eddie Fletcher Jr. of Milwaukee; two sisters, Minnie Leonard of Ferriday and Bertha Johnson of Milwaukee; Eddie Fletcher of Milwaukee; two brother-in-laws, Jessie Cummings of Jonesville and Sylvester Griggs of Ferriday; one sister-in-law, Lucille Cummings of New Orleans; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
