NATCHEZ — Gravesides services for Bennie Byrd Jr., 90, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Don Byrd officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Byrd was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Natchez, the son of Ben Byrd Sr. and Etta Arnold Byrd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James David Byrd; one grandson, Kiley Byrd; one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include one son, Norman “Bubba” Byrd and wife, Henry Jo, of Natchez; two brothers, Jack Byrd of Natchez and Don Byrd and wife, Bebe, of Sanger, Texas; one sister, Guynell Hall of Natchez; one daughter-in-law, Linda Byrd of Brandon; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
