McCOMB — Services for Peggy Eugenia Forrest, 84, who died Friday, February 28, 2014, at McComb Nursing & Rehabilitation, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at  Catchings Funeral Home in Summit with the Rev. Brian Kaskie officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery in McComb under the direction of Catchings Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Forrest was born April 18, 1929, in McComb, the daughter of Leslie and Ouida Dunaway Brister.

Mrs. Forrest spent most of her adult life as a resident of Natchez. She was a homemaker and participated extensively in civic and volunteer work. She was a member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club, Fort Rosalie Chapter of the DAR and St. Mary Basilica.

She was preceded in death by her parents and  husband, James V. Forrest.

Survivors include one daughter, Teresa Shapley and husband, George.

Pallbearers will be Charles Parsons, Gary Covington, Chester Marshall, Todd Harvey, Scottie Brown and Wesley “Sput” Harvey.
