Concordia Parish library hosts talk on cyberspace safety

VIDALIA — Miss-Lou parents, students and residents are encouraged to attend a free “Do’s & Don’ts of Cyberspace” at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Vidalia Library.

The Concordia Parish Library, the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Concordia Parish District Attorney’s Office are sponsoring the event featuring Wade Bond of Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center.

Bond will share the responsibilities of texting, messaging, strong language and pictures for adults and youth that use this technology.

Paul Nelson, Concordia Parish School Board superintendent, is working with the public library to extend an invitation to all who are interested. Handouts and resources will be made available to those attending.

Thursday’s program is free and open to the public.
