NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Edward Joseph Baroni, 79, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Don Tate officiating.
Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Baroni was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Natchez, the son of Edward Hedge Baroni and Daisy Hammack Baroni.
He loved working with his hands, whether he was fixing something around the house or working in his yard.
He had a zeal for life and always kept a smile on everyone’s face, especially when he performed an impromptu song or dance.
He could be seen every morning walking his dog, Henry, and always made time for his family and friends. He never missed an LSU football game.
He will be missed but his love and kindness will never be forgotten.
Survivors include his wife, Velma L. Baroni; two daughters, Tanya Craft, of Baton Rouge, and Donna Cowart and husband, Bobby, of Natchez; three grandchildren, Colby and Taylor Craft, of Baton Rouge and Stephanie Cowart, of Natchez; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Baroni, of Natchez, and James Baroni, of Baton Rouge; and one sister, Polly Hoggatt, of Pearl.
