FAYETTE — Services for Roosevelt Washington Jr., 49, of Ellenwood, Ga., formerly of Fayette, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill No. 2 Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.03:14 Roosevelt Washington Jr. obitpic

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Washington was born Oct. 25, 1964, in Natchez, the son of Roosevelt Washington Sr. and Elsie Patricia Queen.

He joined Locust Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Woodley where he served faithfully until he moved out of state.

He was a current member of World Changers International Church in College Park, Ga.

Mr. Washington was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joann Washington-Keys.

Survivors include a loyal and devoted wife, Tyria Marshall Walker Washington; one son, Travaris Clark, of Fayette; two daughters, Ashley Washington and Tiara Washington, both of Ellenwood, Ga.; two brothers, Alvin Washington, of Las Vegas and Alexzeus Rankin, of Baton Rouge; four sisters, Wanda Washington, Catenia Starks, Ambreya Rankin-Noble and Shanti Frye, all of Fayette; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Theresa Rankin, of Fayette; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Windell Harried and wife, Geraldine, of Fayette, Angela Cistrunk and husband, Hosey, of Decatur, Ga. and Terrence Walker and wife, Tanga, of Madison; one special uncle, Michael Queen and wife, Mary, of Baton Rouge; and a number of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
