WATERPROOF — Services for Doretha M. Turner, 83, of Waterproof, who died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian Lundy officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cememtery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Turner was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Waterproof, the daughter of Johnny and Mae Louise Johnson Turner.

She was employeed at Riverland Medical Center as a monitor technician.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rena Parson; two brothers, Harold Turner and James Earl Johnson; and one sister, Alma Turner.

Survivors include one son, Darren Schiele of Malaysia; two daughters, Vernell Taylor of Waterproof and Johnice Jones of Lynwood, Ill.; one sister, Delores Turner of Waterproof; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
