Ferriday — Funeral services for Annie Lea Taylor, 81, of Vidalia, who died Friday, April 4, 2014, in Vidalia, will be at Youngs Funeral Home in Ferriday at 1 p.m. today with the Rev. Timmy Blalock officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor was born on Thursday, Oct. 6, 1932, in Jonesville, the daughter of Johnnie M. Edwards and Lillie Mae Reaves “Davis” Edwards.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was employed for more than 20 years with Doris Dress Shop of Ferriday and more than 20 years with Natchez Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shelby Roy Taylor Sr., three brothers, Oliver Edwards and wife, Jean, Johnnie Edwards and wife, Elizabeth Faye, and Howard Paul Edwards; and one sister, Nellie M. Davis.
Survivors include two sons, Shelby R. Taylor Jr., and wife, Aleta, of Acworth, Ga., and Jeffery Taylor and wife, Merritt, of Ferriday; four daughters, Linda Johnson and husband, James, of Natchez, Martha Nell Ashley and husband, Lonnie Sr., of Vidalia, Pat Emfinger and husband, David Sr., of Vidalia, and Christy Hash and husband, Wayne, of Natchez; two brothers, Robbie J. Edwards and wife, Linda, of Prospect, La., and Norman Edwards and wife, Rosemary, of Vidalia; one sister, Dorothy Freeman of Jonesville; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her sons, grandsons and great-grandsons.
