Co-Lin welcomes all to Spring Fling

After a miserably frosty winter, spring has finally arrived, and the Co-Lin Natchez Campus is going to celebrate big by hosting Spring Fling from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
We want you to join us. Spring Fling is a day dedicated to showcasing what Co-Lin has to offer, from active clubs to academics, to resources.
This festival, with its field day atmosphere, gives our student body a chance to relax and have fun before final exams begin, and offers prospective students and the community at large the opportunity to see that we are more than just classes.
Our campus clubs and organizations will be on hand selling some great picnic food, hosting games, demonstrations, competitions and welcoming area high school students and the public to our campus. Come have lunch with us and treat yourself to garlic sausage, cotton candy, snow cones, pizza, Frito pies and lots more.
While you’re on campus, play some games or enter some of our club challenges, like the shoot-around basketball tournament or the tug of war. Try your luck with the Trailblazers obstacle course, or go all American Idol and enter the karaoke competition.
Or just come and hang out with us for the day and enjoy the epic battle between students and faculty/staff during the flag football game, and watch the science club put on some very cool demonstrations.
Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer any questions about getting your education at Co-Lin on topics such as degree and certificate programs, resources, money-saving options, scholarships, financial aid, cost comparisons and transferring credits to universities after graduation.
Whether you’re interested in a full-time schedule, continuing education or a part-time program, we’ve got you covered.
Co-Lin is more than a come-to-class-and-leave campus kind of school. Co-Lin is full of students who love to hang out and spend time with one another. We have faculty members who love to talk and spend time with students; we are one big happy family. Please come and join us for fun with our family on April 16, 2014, at Spring Fling.
If your church group, organization or school is interested in bringing prospective students, please contact our academic counselor, Viveca Latham Johnson, at 601-446-1219 to schedule.
So let’s celebrate the end of winter as a college and a community. Come join us and bring your friends.
We’ll surprise you, because we are more than just classes.
