LOS ANGELES — Services for Elizabeth Ann Green, 64, of Los Angeles, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, April 7, 2014, in Los Angeles, were held Monday at Saint Andrews Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alex Toussaint officiating.
Burial followed in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, Calif. under the direction of Angelus Funeral Home.
Ms. Green was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of John Green and Bessie Stewart Green.
She was affectionately known as “Liz Ann” to some and “Ann” by many.
She was a member of Sadie V. Thompson class of 1968 and Greater Macedonia Baptist Church in Natchez. She was employed at Head Start in Los Angeles as a teacher’s assistant, F. W. Woolworth Company and Broadway Department Store.
Ms. Green was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Willie and Jerlean Lewis Stewart; one sister, Bernice Cage; one nephew, Terry Howard; two great-nephews, Brian Foster and Brandon Aaron Skipper; one brother-in-law, Rickey Steele and one sister-in-law, Janice Bacon Green.
Survivors include one son, Carl Green and wife, Felissa, of Toledo, Ohio; two grandsons, Carter and Marcus; two granddaughters, Amber and Cinnamon; one brother, Richard Green of New Roads, La.; four sisters, Matron Rowe of Woodville, Marjean Rowe of New Orleans, Bessie Bradley and husband, Cornelius, of Natchez and Shirley Steele of Gretna; one special nephew, Larry Cage and wife, Gerri, of New Roads; three uncles, Clarence Stewart of Baton Rouge, Berine Stewart and wife, Sadie, of Woodville, and Earl Stewart and wife, Rosie, of Chicago; dear and devoted friends, Mrs. Eliza Martin, Mrs. Terri Baker Braxton, Mr. Craig Long, all of Los Angeles, Ms. Alice Beverly of Detroit; Saint Andrews Missionary Baptist Church family and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Horace Adams, Craig Long, Wilson Pittman, Ozzie Porter, James Sykes and Willie Sykes.
