Thursday, April 17

Markus Chatman, who was indicted for burglary of a dwelling and sentenced to four years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections suspended and placed on post release supervision for three years on March 22, 2010, has conformed to the conditions of said post release supervision and had conducted himself in a law-abiding manner. Therefore, his post release supervision is terminated in Judge Forrest “Al” Johnson’s court.

Quince Anthony Butler, aka Quince Lamond Butler, pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting in Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders’ court. Sentenced to five years in MDOC suspended and placed on five years probation upon the condition that the defendant successfully completes the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court. Full credit given for any time already served in the Adams County Jail. Must pay all court costs and a prosecution fee of $200 in the office of the Adams County Circuit Clerk. Further ordered that MDOC fees shall be waived and the defendant is ordered to pay drug court fees in the aggregated amount of $1,200. Further ordered that the defendant shall pay an assessment of $1,800 to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Adult Drug Court Program.

Kavion Curtis, 19, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Roshea N. Page, 26, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $373. Page also pleaded guilty to fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $473.

James David Hollowell, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for one day served. To serve 24 hours in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Stephanie Annice Price, 40, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false pretense. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Total fine set at $456.45.

Dominique N. Clark, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 27 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Credit given for one day served. To serve two days in jail. Banned from Walmart. Fine set at $573.

Wednesday, April 30

Lusrea Watson, charged with possession of a controlled substance. Case dismissed with prejudice in consideration of guilty plea to co-defendant.

Marcus Winding, 25, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle. Driver’s license suspended for six months. Fine set at $543. Winding also pleaded guilty to speeding (42 mph in a 30 mph zone). Fine set at $202. Winding also charged with DUS — revoked or suspended. Case dismissed — driver’s license reinstated.

Paul Orton, 49, pleaded guilty to DUI first offense test results — .21. Sentenced to 48 hours suspended. Fine set at $750.

Randy Leonard, 20, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.

Lark Kirkland Hall Jr., 18, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — first offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 28 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve two days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $573.

Charmaine Hawkins, 25, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false information. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $423.

Cleophus Wells, 55, pleaded guilty to shoplifting — 2nd offense. Sentenced to 60 days with 47 days suspended for two years pending good behavior. To serve 13 days in jail. Banned from store. Fine set at $673.

James D. Reed, 48, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of misdemeanor false pretense. Total fine set at $4,260.22.
