FERRIDAY — Services for Beverly Kay Thomas, 46, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, May 4, 2014, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Wagoner and Gay Bradford officiating.

Burial will follow in Sholar Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas was born Oct. 22, 1967, in Hattiesburg, the daughter of Burlie Sholar and Betty Sholar.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Roberta Lynn Turner; one grandson, Elijah Noel Montgomery; and one niece, Whitney Nicole Oliver Butts.

Survivors include her mother; one daughter, Kaitlin “Savannah” Sholar of Vidalia; one brother, Burlie Sholar and wife, Jennifer, of Denham Springs; one sister, Shelia Hobbs and husband, Ronnie, of Ferriday; three nephews, William John Oliver III, Beau Sholar and Jack Sholar; and one niece, Sloane Sholar.

Pallbearers will be Shayne Breland, Cody Higdon, John Breland, Ronnie Hobbs, Carl Dickerson, Willie Montgomery, Dorian Guillot and Charles Strickland.
