Plenty of plants offered at bluff sale
Published 12:10 am Wednesday, May 7, 2014
The Adams County Master Gardeners will host a plant sale on the bluff on Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Natchez Arts Festival.
Master Gardeners have been busy propagating plants all spring for your enjoyment.
In addition, in keeping with the Master Gardeners’ goal of educating the public, free garden information published by the Mississippi State University Extension Service will be available and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer specific gardening questions you may have.
A large variety of plants will be available. We will have several herbs, including black mint and oregano. If you are looking for some great passalongs, we will have grape hyacinth, forsythia, purple heart, primrose jasmine, verbena, mums, nandina, shasta daisy, phlox, periwinkle, Mexican petunia and many more.
We will also have some crepe myrtle and other trees and shrubs such as dwarf flowering almond, loquat, althea, fig, Carolina Buckhorn, black walnut and vitex.
And don’t forget the bulbs and tubers. We will have ‘Stella de Oro’ lilies and other day lilies, ginger and a variety of iris and canna. We will also have ferns, vines and groundcovers
Come join us for a great time on the bluff. You may just find the perfect Mother’s Day gift. We will be located near the gazebo.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
