Vidalia hydrants set to be tested soon

VIDALIA — The Vidalia Fire Department will begin flushing hydrants in the City of Vidalia Monday.
The flushing could cause water to be discolored in the area where flushing is taking place.
The water will be safe for consumption at all times during the four-week process.
The area and dates of this work, which will happen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., are as follows:
• May 12-16 — South of Carter Street, Levee to Azalea Drive and near Logan Sewell Drive
• May 19-23 — North of Carter Street, Front Street to Guillory Street, all of Murray Addition
• May 27-31 — Murray Drive to city limits and south of Carter Street
