NATCHEZ — Services for Jean Neal Paine, 91, of Denham Springs, La., formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 11, 2014, in Denham Springs, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis Carpenter officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be form 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Paine was born July 30, 1922, in Aberdeen, the daughter of Jesse H. Neal and Margaret Hall Neal.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Natchez Garden Club.

She was an avid fisherman and deer hunter and loved to travel.

Mrs. Paine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Paine; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Carpenter and husband, Don, of Denham Springs; two grandchildren, Travis Carpenter and wife, Elizabeth, of Batesville, and Melanie Carpenter of Pensacola, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Aubrey Carpenter.
