JONESVILLE — Services for Mamie Davis Faircloth Simon, 91, of Jonesville, who died Sunday, May 25, 2014, will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Jonesville with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler and the Rev. Gary Norris officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jena Cemetery in Jena under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simon was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Jonesville, the daughter of Laura Renfro Davis and Luther Duncan “Gee” Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands George Dalton Faircloth Sr. and Hubert Simon; brothers John A. Davis, E.R. “Pete” Davis, L.W. “Woodie” Davis, Edward A. “Eddie” Davis and Alton J. “Sambo” Davis; and sisters Velma Poole Bankston and Marie Blunschi.

Survivors include sons George D. “Dee” Faircloth and wife, Dot, Robert R. Faircloth and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren Deedee Faircloth Roberts and husband, Bob, Libby Faircloth, Erin Faircloth and Rob Faircloth; great-grandchildren Rachel Roberts Knapp and husband, Shane, Caity Roberts, Morgan Mulvihill and Aiden Palmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews Johnny Blunschi, Sam Blunschi, Mike Blunschi, Ricky Blunschi, Paul Blunschi and Woodie Blunschi.
