NATCHEZ — Services for William Curtis Wheat, 73, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his residence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Natchez National Cemetery with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.
Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wheat was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Aliceville, Ala., the son of Thelbert Wheat and Vada Tyner Wheat.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters, Wayne Wheat, Joyce Roberts, Nancy Wheat and Dewitt Landruth.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Wheat, of Natchez; two sons, Warren Wheat and Dale Wheat, both of Natchez; two grandchildren, Ashton Wheat and Allee Wheat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Roberts, David Roberts, Kevin Wheat, John Swoveland, Jack Sojourner and Ronnie Cox.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
