The Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Ford Jr. of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Cherise Ford to Wesley Omar Knibbs, son of Claudette Knibbs of Miami and Radcliff Knibbs of Kingston, Jamaica.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School and a graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman.

She is the granddaughter of the late Charlie Hamilton Jr. and Mattie Hamilton and the Rev. and Mrs. Ernest Ford Sr. all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Pembroke Pines Charter School in Miami and a graduate of Alcorn State University of Lorman.

He is employed by the Natchez Fire Department and Cebco Oil Field Services.

He is the grandson of Myrtle Edwards of Pembroke, Fla., and Blosson Manhu of Clarendon, Jamaica.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, at New Beginnings Baptist Church.

A reception will follow at the Natchez Convention Center.
