NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Johnnie Wiley Blalack, 86, of Waterproof, will be 10 a.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Evelyn S. Riggs officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Blalack was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Woodland the son of Frank Benjamin Blalack and Clemmie Irene Keyes Blalack. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class. Mr. Blalack worked at Armstrong Tire as a tire builder for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Adele B. Powerll and Frances Lauer Gates.

Mr. Blalack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Slover Blalack; one daughter, Ginny Stockstill and husband Butch of Waterproof; two grandsons, Greg Stockstill of Waterproof and Mark Stockstill and wife Macky of Natchez; two great-grandsons, Tyler Blalack Stockstill and Mark Weston Stockstill, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stockstill, Greg Stockstill, Tyler Stockstill, Wes Stockstill, Donald Black and Carl Frank Olds.
