Mr. Dana Hatcher of Chicago and Ms. Rhonda Banford Hatcher of Ridgeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Janea Hatcher to Joshua Lenell Bush, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Collins of Ridgecrest.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Natchez High School, is a graduate of Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from Jackson State University.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. Isiah Young and Mrs. Gloria Young, Mr. Wilson Banford and Mrs. Estelle Banford all of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Vidalia High School and is a graduate of Jackson State University, where he received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in business administration from Jackson State University.

He is employed by Nissan/Exel Logistics as a process engineer.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. Eddie Johnson of Dallas, Mrs. Mary Burden and the late Mr. Jim Burden of Vidalia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mose Collins of Ferriday.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center in Vidalia.
