Our city fathers seem to be all thrust and no rudder.

For example, talk of annexation, troubles in finance, recreation and currently displeasure with the city appointed school board members.

Alderman Ricky Gray made a reckless motion based on an irrelevant charge to replace the city school board members.

The school system’s problems are created by the federal and state legislatures plus the teachers unions.

The logical solution seems to be vouchers and charter schools.

I would like to see those who voted for approval of this motion to state in writing to this paper why they are dissatisfied with the current school board membership and who they would replace them with.
