NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Roy Joseph “Zeko” Rabalais Jr., 60, who died peacefully in his sleep at home July 31, 2014, with his family by his side, were Aug. 3 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home.

Roy was born Sept. 1, 1953, in New Orleans, the son of Roy and Ruby Sue Rabalais.  He grew up in Natchez and attended Pleasant Acre Day School for most of his life.  Some of his favorite things and memories included participating in the Special Olympics, his dogs, fireworks, celebrating birthdays and Christmas parties. Roy had a kindness in his heart that most people can only hope to have.  He will be sorely missed by those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother and sidekick, Leonard Rabalais; one sister, Katherine Simpson and husband Wayne of Boyce, La; one niece, Racheal Madenwald and husaband Chad of Fort Collins, Colo.; one nephew, Kenneth Simpson of Boyce and many friends.
