NATCHEZ – A mechanical breakdown with The Natchez Democrat’s printing press overnight caused delayed distribution of the newspaper.

The press was repaired shortly after 6 a.m. and immediately began to print Monday’s edition.

Newspaper carriers were beginning to deliver their home delivery routes by 6:30 a.m., but their late start meant delays in the time at which home delivery subscribers normally receive their newspapers.
