BROOKHAVEN — Funeral services for Mary Charlene Robinson Pratt, 85, of Brookhaven, who died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at her residence, will be at noon Wednesday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Ackerman with the Rev. Isham David Conner.

Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Pratt was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Choctaw County, the daughter of Robert Frazier and Mary Marshall Robinson.

She loved to sing in choirs, and she sang with the Gospel Crusaders that later changed to the Spiritual Swans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cedell Pratt and two children.

Survivors include four devoted sons, Herman Pratt and wife, Dorothy, James C. Pratt and wife, Juanita, William Pratt and wife, Annie, and Larry Pratt and wife, Geneva; three loving daughters, Nida Crawford and husband, James, Shirley Esters and husband, Michael, and Melissa Vaughn and husband, Andrew; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
