Steve and Barbara Jackson of Sicily Island announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Katheleen Jackson to Russell Jon Casper.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Sicily Island High School and Central Louisiana Technical Community College in Ferriday with a LPN certificate.

She is employed by Pediatric Services of America.

She is the granddaughter of the late Charles E. and Virginia Rice and the late Thomas and Patsy Jackson.

The groom-to-be is the son of the late Clyde and Sharon Casper of Bay St. Louis.

He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, having served in Iraq. He is self-employed and is the owner of Modern Maintenance Services.

He is the grandson of Raymond John and Bessie Jane Marriott of Eldon, Mo.

The wedding will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Church of God, 530 St. John St., Bay St. Louis.
