Darrell Lazarus of Bay Point, Calif., and Bonnie Wheeler-Lazarus of Natchez announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexa Lazarus of Vidalia to Clayton Chauvin, also of Vidalia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aurthur Chauvin of Ferriday.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School and Pearl River Community College.

She is employed as a physical therapist assistant at Heritage Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Ferriday.

The groom to be is a graduate of Huntington High School.

He is employed by Bryant Hammett and Associates in Ferriday.

The wedding and reception will be at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Summer Salt East in Orange Beach, Ala.
