VIDALIA — Services for Tressie Lee Odell, 90, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Vidalia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Truman Stagg and the Rev. Frankie Clark officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Odell was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Union County, Ark., the daughter of Ira Perritt and Lillie White Perritt. She was a member of Vidalia United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Odell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Odell; two brothers, Johnnie and Lloyd Perritt; two sisters, Floy Perritt and Nadine Cassidy; and one daughter-in-law, Susan Odell.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Odell and wife, Mary Ann, of Taylorville and Gary Odell and wife, Sandra, of Watson, La.; one daughter, Suzanne Wiggins and husband, Alvin, of Cash Bayou, La.; one stepson, Jack Odell of Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren, Teresa Hawkins and husband, Thero, Todd Odell, Jon Odell, Jason Odell and wife, Christi, Michelle Odell and Tim Odell; 14 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Maureen Orth.
The family extends a very special thanks to her sitters, Anna Rice, Shirley Mazique and Twana Sewell.
Pallbearers will be Jon Odell, Jason Odell, Todd Odell, Thero Hawkins, Matt Wiggins and Leslie Snipes.
