FERRIDAY — Additional charges are still pending on a Natchez man who allegedly caused a two-vehicle collision that killed one Ferriday man.
Louisiana State Police spokesperson Scott Moreau said Monday that no further charges had been filed against Patrick R. Krueger, 34, of Natchez.
Krueger was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pickup on Louisiana 568 Friday night when the vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by William K. Loomis, 50.
Loomis was pronounced dead and two juveniles in his vehicle were transported to Riverland Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries.
Neither Loomis nor his passengers were wearing seat belts.
Krueger is suspected of driving while impaired and was charged with DWI, open container and careless operation, state police said.
Krueger was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
Seventh Judicial District Assistant District Attorney Ann Siddall said Monday the case had not been handed over to their offices yet, but she believed it would be following further investigation by law enforcement agencies.
State police responded to the scene, east of Louisiana 900, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Krueger was traveling east on Louisiana 568 when he reportedly lost control. Loomis was traveling west.
