NATCHEZ — Services for Charles David “Pete” Berryhill, 90, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez.
Burial will follow at the Berryhill Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from noon until service time Thursday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Berryhill was born March 30, 1924, in Coles, the son off Charlie and Lizzie Taylor Berryhill.
Mr. Berryhill served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Cox; three brothers, Shelly Berryhill, Hollis Berryhill and Ralph Berryhill; six sisters, Addie Brown, Rhoda Poole, Blanche McDonald, Margarette Buttler, Evelyn Cavin and Idell Miles.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jewel Berryhill; four sons, Jeffery Berryhill and wife, Viola, Donald Ray Berryhill, John Charles Berryhill and Allen Cox and wife, Jeannie; one daughter, Sue Davis and husband, Lucion; four grandsons; five granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Cavin, Allen Cox, Chris Cupit, Kam Berryhill, Luke Davis and Willie Hathcox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Davis, Lucion Davis, Leonard McManus and Malcolm Hall.
