FULTON — Services for Nellie Rue Griggs Yielding, 84, of Fulton, who died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, were 11 a.m. Wednesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Bobby Jarrell, the Rev. Billy Adams and the Rev. Lloyd Minor officiating.

Burial followed at the Kirkville Cemetery under the direction of McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.

Mrs. Yielding was born Jan. 19, 1930, the daughter of Aden and Erin Griggs of the Ozark community.

She enjoyed fishing, snuff dipping, cooking, reading, puzzles, gardening and taking care of her children.

She was a resident of The Meadows in Fulton and a member of East Fulton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Yielding was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clifton Yielding; her parents; one sister, Mickey Grissom; two infant sisters, Helen and Pattie Griggs; one brother-in-law, John Grissom; one son-in-law, Tom Grudzinskas; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Survivors include four sons, Danny Yielding, the Rev. Michael Yielding and wife, Ginger, all of Fulton, Tim Yielding and wife, Alisha, of Vidalia, and Rodney Yielding and wife, Sharon, of Fairview; two daughters, Tammy Grudzinskas and Martha Dale Jarrell and husband, Johnny, all of Fulton; one brother, Dexter Griggs and wife, Carolyn, of Fulton; eight grandchildren, Tony Jarrell and wife, Rebecca, Michael Jarrell and wife, Leigh, Stefanie Barnard and husband, Jonathan, Carrie Jackson and husband, Brent, Justin Yielding, Hannah Yielding, Walt Ketchings and wife, Sarah, and Suzanna Ketchings; 11 great-grandchildren, Becca, Sarah, Lydia, John Gabriel and Zack Jarrell, Briley and Denver Barnard, Zada and Gage Jackson, Preston Shields and D.J. Dulin.

Pallbearers were Tony Jarrell, Michael Jarrell, Justin Yielding, Jonathan Barnard, Brent Jackson, Matt Glissen and Zack Jarrell.
