BUDE — Services for Ora Mae Watson Scott, 74, of Bude, who died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Wiggins, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bude Church of God with the Rev. Daniel Smith, the Rev. Melvin Watson and the Rev. Lamar Burkholder officiating.
Burial will follow at Greendale United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the church.
Mrs. Scott was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Franklin County, the daughter of Leon R. and Irene Gammill Watson.
She was a member of the Bude Church of God where she served as the pianist and was active in the choir.
Mrs. Scott was a homemaker who provided a warm and loving home for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert S. Scott Sr.; one sister, Ruby Nell Shelton; and one brother, Arthur Dale Watson.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Scott Applewhite and husband, Art, of Wiggins and Betty Sue Scott Ezell and husband, Rickey, of Roxie; one son, Robert S. Scott Jr. and wife, Rebecca, of Roxie; two brothers, Thomas Floyd Watson and RV Missionary Melvin Watson; seven grandchildren, Christy Anderson and husband, Jordan, Eric Rollins and wife, Shere, Amy Smith and husband, Chris, Justin Ezell and wife, Tracy, Kelsey Ezell, Christopher Scott and Matthew Scott; six great-grandchildren, Jackson Anderson, Tristin Rollins, Fisher Rollins, Palyn Mae Smith, Megan Ezell and Cole Ezell; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
