FERRIDAY — Services for Jay S. O’Briant, 51, of Slidell, La., who died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, in Slidell, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Armstrong officiating.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Doty Springs Cemetery in Kosciusko under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Jay was an avid hunter who loved going to church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie A. O’Briant; one daughter, Julia Karen O’Briant of Slidell; two stepsons, Matthew Bullen and David Arms; two stepdaughters, Keri Sessions and Jessie Arms; his parents, David L. O’Briant and Margie O’Briant of Ridgecrest; one brother, Jeffery David O’Briant and wife, Marsha, of Walland, Texas; one sister, Cathy O. Riggs and husband, Mel, of Ridgecrest; three nephews, Cameron and wife, Krista, Micah and Steven; and two nieces, Autumn and Amber.
