Area churches offering array of fall events

NATCHEZ — Miss-Lou residents looking for alternative activities to trick-or-treating need to look no further than the area churches offering a variety of fall activities.
Many different denominations will offer families a safe environment to play games, fellowship and enjoy the season’s quest for delicious treats.
These events are open to the public and guests are encouraged. Most, if not all, are free.
• Kingston United Methodist Church will have a fall festival at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. The event will take place in the Kingston Community Center.
• Smithland Baptist Church will have its fall carnival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 25. The event will include a variety of activities such as horse back riding, face painting, a cakewalk and the human hamster ball.
• United Baptist Church on Morgantown Road will have its annual harvest program at 3 p.m. Oct. 25. The program will feature the Rev. Jonny Elery and Dexter Todd and choir.
• Crosspoint Church will host a pumpkin painting from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 25. All of the necessary supplies will be provided and everyone is invited to attend. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Pastor Andy Blair.
• Parkway Baptist Church will host its annual “Trunk or Treat” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29
• First Presbyterian will have its festival Oct. 30.
• First Baptist Church will have its festival from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 29.
• Highland Baptist Church will host its festival from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
• Pentecostals of The Miss-Lou will host its fall festivities at 6 p.m. Oct. 31.
