MEADVILLE — Services for Henry Bryant, 83, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with the Rev. Gerald Wicker officiating.

Burial will follow at the McNair Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Bryant was born March 8, 1931, the son of Steve W. Bryant and Ruth Ashley Bryant.

He was retired from International Paper Company of Natchez.

Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Marie Tyler Bryant; two sons, Bill Henry Bryant and Ricky Lynn Bryant; one granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Ross; one sister, Marie Zimmerman; and three brothers, Steve, George and Lawrence Bryant.

Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Phillips and husband, Ron; one brother, Robert “Bob” Bryant and wife, Kay, all of Vicksburg; one sister, Wuanita Allen and husband, Herbert, of Crestview, Fla.; one grandson, Mike Ross and wife, Barbara; two great-grandsons, Hunter Ross and wife, Megan, all of McNair, and Jacob Ross and wife, Jessica, of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Ross, Hunter Ross, James Allen, Keith Zimmerman, Doug Walters and David Cothren.

The family gives special thanks to the Meadville Convalescent Home and Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville for their devoted care and support.
