NATCHEZ — The Adams County Board of Supervisors heard an update Monday from Doug Atkins with Waste Pro.
The company’s trash pickup schedule has been off lately because they have had to replace three drivers at the same time and have been using substitute drivers from other markets, Atkins said.
New drivers have been hired and route pickups should return to normal soon, he said.
In other news from the meeting:
• Road Manager Robbie Dollar told the board many of the street and stop signs in the area of Liberty, Palestine, Duck Pond and Springfield roads have gone missing.
Last week alone 12 signs were stolen, he said.
“They are taking the signs and putting the bolts back in the posts,” Dollar said.
• The board authorized county engineer Jim Marlow to obtain the rights-of-way in order to make necessary repairs on the Deerfield Road bridge.
