I want to suggest something to City of Natchez officials and to the garden clubs of their lovely town.

I think it would be nice if the city, or whomever, could add to the welcoming signs coming into Natchez a sign that states, “The oldest settlement on the Mississippi River.”

I think this is taught in Mississippi history.

Who would be responsible to have this done?
