JONESVILLE — Led by Raymond Plummer and Taylor Perron-Krause, the Block High School Bears defeated the Northwood-Lena Gators 46-0 Friday night in an LHSAA District 3-1A game.

Both Plummer and Perron-Krause had two rushing touchdowns. Kendrick Curry and Dorian Bowman each had one rushing touchdown. And Block even had a touchdown through the air.

“Ray and Taylor ran the ball well. The offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage,” Block head coach Benny Vault Jr. said. “We scored on each possession we had the ball.”

Vault said he was pleased that the team did not have a letdown and did not play down to their competition.

“The kids came out aggressive. We gave up one first down and held them under 30 yards (of total offense). Defense played well,” Vault said.

Block (3-5, 2-1) plays at Montgomery High School Friday.
