FERRIDAY — Services for Clara Velma Robinson, 89, of New Orleans, formerly of Waterproof, who died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Passages Hospice and Sanctuary in New Orleans, will be at noon Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian Lundy officiating.

Burial will follow at the Good Samaritan Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Ms. Robinson was born Dec. 3, 1924, in St. Joseph, La., the daughter of Armster Bivens and Nesha Rogers.

She was employed by Tensas Parish school system as a dietitian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Fannie Jacobs.

Survivors include three sons, Solomon Robinson and wife, Evelyn, of Las Vegas, Percy Robinson and wife, Shelia, and Christopher Robinson and wife, Cassandra, all of Waterproof; four daughters, Patricia Robinson of Gretna, La., Johnnie Raymo and husband, Dan, of Waterproof, Mary Baldwin and husband, Donald, of Houston and Debbie Robinson and husband, Marcus, of New Orleans; 138 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; four very close friends, Augustine Levy of Ferriday, Margaret McFarland, Lilly Strawder and Rosie Turner, all of Waterproof; and a number of other relatives and friends.
